PiezoSleep 5

Data Collection Software (COMING SOON)

Upcoming Changes to PiezoSleep

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve software reliability, performance, and long-term compatibility of our systems, we plan to release a major update to PiezoSleep software later this year. As part of this transition, previous versions of PiezoSleep will enter end-of-support status and will no longer receive active feature development, compatibility updates, or long-term maintenance support. Previous versions of PiezoSleep will continue to operate; however, transitioning to PiezoSleep 5 will ensure continued access to the latest features, updates, and technical support.

Why support for previous versions of PiezoSleep is ending:

The software architecture used in previous versions of PiezoSleep has become increasingly difficult to maintain due to changes in modern Windows system architecture and reliance on third-party runtime components.

What’s New in PiezoSleep 5:

PiezoSleep 5 is a complete redesign of our data acquisition software, rewritten in C++ to provide a more lightweight, robust, and future-compatible software platform. It offers improved diagnostics, integrated product support, enhanced system stability, and a streamlined software update path. This transition is part of our ongoing effort to simplify software maintenance, improve reliability, and create a unified platform that fully supports our current and future product ecosystem.

Stability and Compatibility: PiezoSleep 5 limits dependence on third-party software runtime components, while offering improved compatibility with current and future Windows operating systems. Deeper integration with the Windows environment allows the software to actively monitor and manage system-level events — such as automatic updates or sleep mode — without interrupting data acquisition.

Unified Software Across All Products: PiezoSleep 5 consolidates support for our entire product line into a single installation, eliminating the need for separate product-specific software. All compatible add-ons are supported natively, including environmental sensors, video monitoring, sleep disruption (Qwake), and digital triggering.

Performance: PiezoSleep 5 is more responsive, with reduced system resource usage and quicker startup times.

Automatic Updates: PiezoSleep 5 introduces a software maintenance tool for more easily checking for and downloading software updates.

Beta Program and Early Adopter Benefits:

  • PiezoSleep 5 has undergone extensive internal testing and validation; however, some edge-case issues may still arise in real-world use.
  • Beta tester feedback will help identify and resolve any remaining issues prior to full release.
  • Early adopters will have the opportunity to suggest features and enhancements for future versions of the software.
